We’re always pleased to welcome new patients.

We care for patients from White Rock, South Surrey, and the rest of Metro Vancouver, as well as Whatcom and Skagit counties in Washington State.

Your first visit: what to expect

When you first call, we’ll ask you some questions to ensure we understand exactly what you need.

Based on this initial interview, we’ll book an appropriate consultation. Depending on the issue, we’ll also try to schedule you so that we can start on your immediate concern.

Everything is then shared with the doctor and team so we’re prepared when you arrive.

The day you see us we’ll:

  • review your medical and dental histories

  • discuss your concerns and what matters to you

  • explain our findings

  • develop a tailored plan to address your individual needs and goals

Cost

The estimated cost of your care will be always made clear in advance of any treatment. While it’s impossible to foresee every potential outcome when planning your care, we’ll explain where there may be a risk of additional problems or costs. Openly and honestly discussing the cost is part of determining the best care for you.

Payment is due the day services are provided. We accept direct payment from most Canadian benefit plans, including the Canadian Dental Care Plan, for the portion of treatment covered by your plan. You’re responsible for the portion that isn’t covered (known as the “co-payment”, or “deductible”). Dentists are legally required to collect the co-payment from patients. Some plans insist on reimbursing the full cost to you directly.

Dental plans

We treat you, not your dental plan. Our treatment recommendations are based on your health needs, which may differ from what your plan covers. It’s rare to find a dental plan that covers 100% of the cost of all treatment. Nor will typical plans cover the entire cost of all dental care in a lifetime. Dental coverage is a contract that was negotiated between your employer and the insurance company for their benefit. We encourage you to know your plan in order to avoid disappointments with payment and reimbursement.

We can help you understand your coverage and assist you in getting pre-authorization for treatment. This will provide you with a good estimate—before treatment starts—of what will be covered by your plan, and what you’ll have to pay.
